Question:
Hello Dmitry,
Just a quick question, I am interested in making money off the Internet, I might be made redundant soon, so I do not want to spend money as yet. As a first start what would you recommend doing to get small amounts of money coming in. I am trying to get my new project off the ground windows apps metro style, maybe you can suggest something….
I have been stung a few times with MLM and affiliate schemes.
Kind regards Gary
Hey Gary,
It is sad to hear that you might be made redundant, but it might turn out to be great opportunity if you follow right direction. (I was fired from corporate jobs due my entrepreneurial spirit infinite number of times and it turns out to be great.) Ok closer to the business. There are a lot of ways to make money online. I listed a lot of free options here “how to start making money online” some of them require certain level of technical background and computer knowledge, some of them don’t. There are several sections on that list all of them are legitimate options; but if you just starting and don’t have money at all I would suggest to look at section #4 “Sell your Services”. Selling your services is a good way to earn some cash to start. Consider those opportunities as “little cash getting techniques” and do not consider them as serious business opportunities because to produce serious results they either are too time consuming or hard to follow on regular basis. I am totally agree that it is possible to make living working as a freelancer but in order to make good money you need to spend a lot of time. On the other side one of the fastest and easiest ways, in my opinion, to make serious money online is affiliate marketing. This is what I call online business. You can start relatively small and grow it over time into six-seven figure business (I am serious). And with affiliate marketing you are working on the asset rather than on technique like with “little cash getting techniques”. If you’re not familiar with affiliate marketing you can read more here: Wealthy Affiliate review. So my recommendation is to choose – #1 if you want to start selling your services/expertise with “little cash getting techniques” or #2 if you want to start working on your affiliate asset. If you have any questions feel free to email me.
Good luck
Dmitry
Hi,
Thank you for replying so quickly, I really appreciate it. I am a graphic designer by trade, have many computer skills. Would really appreciate an idiots guide to start. If this works then you will have a #1 fan and helper.
Once I know where to start – easy step then I will take off and help you.
I have registered with PayPal. I look forward to hearing from you, and thank you very much for getting in touch so quickly. Please feel fee to treat me like I am stupid so that I can learn quickly. As soon as I see money coming in I will invest quite quickly but have to see proof first, i have bitten too many times.
All the best,
Gary
Hey Gary,
Ok I will try to provide you with some choices to start and my suggestions. That is good that you have computer skills, it will be easier for you to get started. So as far as I understand you need little bit of cash to get started and then you want to invest it in more serious business. There are couple services that you can use to start:
Check out this section and particularly service “Just Answer” – if you know a lot about computers there are people on their site willing to pay for answers to their questions, they paying through PayPal.
Then there are whole bunch of online auctions sites look here. I would recommend to stick with eBay. You live in UK, right? So you can use eBay.uk. Look around your house, sell all the junk you don’t use (cloth, electronics etc.) I don’t know why but there are some people on eBay willing to pay money for anything. Back in the days I sold whole bunch of electronics that I was not using for some good money (for me complete junk).
If you are graphic designer try to do some freelancing- check out some freelancing websites. I would recommend stick with BIG boys like Elance or ODesk.
You should be able to crack some money using mentioned above services (couple hundred or couple thousand bucks), depending on time and effort spend. But don’t forget it is all flashes in the pan; it is not serious business opportunity so use it just to start. If you seriously don’t want to depend on your corporate job look forward to affiliate marketing, that’s where the money is! So when you have your first 100$; invest it in your affiliate education read about it here: Wealthy Affiliate Review keep on working on first 3 steps and study. The program is 8 weeks. I started making some money by the end of my second week, and I didn’t even speak English that well that time. So I think you can do it. If you stuck somewhere shoot me an email I will try to help.
Good luck
Dmitry
