When I hear somebody say ‘Life is hard’, I am always tempted to ask ‘Compared to what?’
Getting things done and achieving something in business and life in general often comes down to answering one simple question: “How bad do you want it?” Tough circumstances are often stimulant for getting things done and achieving goals because you want to get out of that financial, emotional, spiritual slum. Working online I often find myself distracted from goals I am trying to achieve, this video helps me to get on the right track and focus on things that are really important for my business.
Without clear picture of what you want to achieve and burning desire to get there it is hard not to get distracted by “shiny objects”. Back in a days I set a goal for myself – make $3000/month online. I was promoting several affiliate products each one of them paying me around $35 per sale, my average conversion rate for that site was 3% (3 sales for every 100 clicks).
- $3000/month – is $100/day
- $100 a day – is 3 affiliate sales
- 3 affiliate sales – is 100 targeted clicks
So 100 targeted visitors/day = $3000/month, now I should focus on getting those visitors – writing posts, making videos and I can track every click on the affiliate link in my analytics and see how close I was to my goal. Getting something done is often about staying organized… with your finances, time, focus. Sometimes getting personal finance software to keep everything on track helps a lot, something like www.gogecapital.com or mint.
Hi Dimitry!
It’s me again. I’m really enjoying my time here on your website : )
I liked the article and video and it reminded me (AGAIN) how MUCH I have in life to be thankful for. So thank you for doing that.
Your post and video also reminded me of a similar blogpost and video I saw earlier and enjoyed very much. Its from the blog of Joel Runyon and it features a video with an athlete called Giavani Ruffin (American football player). Here’s the link for you and anyone else who’s interested:

I must go and do some work now. Thanks again and keep going.
